PLC port error - "wrong partner port"

Dziadek_Mróz Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm new over here and in S7, so sorry if I bother you about something simple. I've got used 1211C cpu, and after establishing connection and loading first program, it still shows error "Error on partner - wrong partner port". Also error led is blinking, which is (for me) annoying. How to clear errors, or just prevent new ones from showing (and how to turn off that led)? I couldn't find anything useful about it around internet, so I hope that somebody here can help. Łukasz

Łukasz Hello, Go online to the PLC and open the Online&Diagnostics, here you get a overview of the PLC, you can see which error is present and in the diagnostic buffer you can see more informations about the reasons of the error. Please attach a copy of the Diagnostic buffer (.txt), so we can help you to locate the error exactly and solve it. BR

I this case I would download a blank program with on line of code in it to test one input and one output, and also download a simple hardware configuration and go from there.

Leave any networks or links between devices in the devices / networks tab alone. If there is a PN device connected, it is plugged into the wrong network port according to the topology requirements. For s7-1200, there is no requirement to use the topology tab for anything. In my experience, it has only caused me pain, just like you are experiencing.
