I have TIA 15.1 and the same problem. But panel TP700. I did reset to factory settings + download a new version via ProSave but still error

Has anybody  fixed this problem?, I have a  6AV2 124-0MC01-0AX0 TP1200 Comfort V13.00.01.09, bootloader 1.16. When I try to download using TIA V15.1 it gives me the same error: 

- Adaptation of target device failed

and 

- Error downloading to module HMI_RT_1

Please, any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Try installing all panel images form the WinCC DVDs, like this guy suggested.

Edit: I just did, and I still have the same problem..

Edit 2: My colleague runs Win 7, and he doesn't seem to have the problem. I run Win 10. What OS does the rest of you run?

My response was an answer to the question above if I was running windows 10 or earlier.

I have the same problem. When i try to download the runtime i get this message

Download canceled due to a transfer error: 8020AB001A06FFF4!

Please help..
