The target is giving a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps. Description: By change a varible value, a text list shows the respective status (“ON”, “OFF”) and a graphic List shows the respecitive status ("arrow up", "arrow down"). Text list is a very simple and efficient way to show text status information. Graphic list is a very simple, language independent and efficient way to show text status information. Configuration main steps: Open a pre-configured project, with a screen. Create a Boolean tag: Project Tree → Show all tags-> <add new>, Name = HMI_Tag_1, Data Type = Integer (TIP: at least, in this first V16 version, doesn't use boolean data type), Tag properties -> values -> Start value = 0 Create a Text List (project tree → Text and Graphic list → Text List → <add new>: Text_list_1 was create) Configure the Text_list_1: Propereties: selection = Value/Range);Text list entries (intermediary window, between Text list and Properties): <Add new> Value = 0, Text = OFF; <Add new> : Value = 1; Text = ON Create a Graph List (project tree → Text and Graphic list → Graphic List → <add new>: Graphic_list_1 was create) Configure the Graphic_list_1: Propereties: selection = Value/Range);Graphic list entries (intermediary window, between Text list and Properties): <Add new> Value = 0, arrow down; <Add new> : Value = 1; Arrow up. Open a screen. Place a Symbolic IO field (Toolbox → Elements) Configure the Symbolic IO field: Properties → General -> process value -> Dynamization = Tag Tag (right side) = tag name (“HMI_Tag_1”); Properties → General -> Resource List = Text_list_1; Properties → Miscellaneus ->Mode = Output (optional); Place a Symbolic IO field (Toolbox → Elements) Configure the Symbolic IO field: Properties → General -> process value -> Dynamization = Tag Tag (right side) = tag name (“HMI_Tag_1”); Properties → General -> Resource List = Graphi_list_1; Properties -> Format -> Contends -> Controle mode = Graphic; Properties → Miscellaneus ->Mode = Output (optional); To simulate values on the tag: drag and drop (select the tag on project tree, HMI tags, default tag table, details view windows) the HMI_Tag_1 to the screen Project (.zap16 ziped as .zip) Attachment textGraphicList.zip (1589 Downloads)

Tips: It could be created in the toolbox > Project Library > Types > add new The graphics used in this graphic list should be created as type elements too. More references could be found in online documentation, in Sample project (archived from TIA Portal as .zap21 and after that compacted in .zip format to be uploaded here) user= User, all password = Password1!
