Also you should remember that CPU 224 or 224XP after Q1.1 next possible address for output is Q2.0 and after I1.5 next possible input address is I2.0 (because physical limitation of CPU) Hope this will help you Attachment symbole table.JPG (332 Downloads)

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, the EM221 is a dig input module. The PLC 224 has inputs onboard from I0.0 to I1.5. The rest of the input Byte 1 you can not use. This is adress I0.6 and 0.7. The inputs from the EM221 will start at I2.0. How to use symbolic names: 1. You can create and edit a symbol table by filling the data (Symbol name, Adress [V-memory, I, Q, M, ...] and comments) 2. In your editor (STL, LAD, FBD) type your symbolik name. Then you will see a green underline. This green under line will mark a unspecified symbolic name. Now press the right mous button and select "Define symbol" to complete the symbolic specification. I hope this helps.
