Server works on Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 32-bit and WinCC 7.0 SP2 Upd2. I want to upgrade the Server to use Windows Server 2012. Which is WinCC version compatible with Windows Server 2012? And how to migrate from WinCC 7.0 SP2 project to that version? Please show me to solve this problem. Look forward to the help of Everybody. Thanks and Best Regards!

bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello Mr.Joseph, you need to upgrade at least to WinCC V7.3 SE. Then can you use Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition (64-Bit) for OS. The project can you migrate with the installed WinCC V7.3 SE. Both versions are released for using on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition (64-Bit) see compatibility tool https://support.industry.siemens.com/kompatool/pages/main/index.jsf?sitc=wwdfi10002 But only for V7.4 you can get a license upgrade from V7.x to V7.4. For V7.5, you need to upgrade the license to V7.2 at first, and then from V7.2 to V7.5. Regards Georg Berghof

bg2492 Posts: 7298 Rating: (2188)	Hello Mr.Joseph, a Thin-Client is usually only a simple Input/Output-Device. It connects usually via Remote Desktop Protocol to a Terminal Server. I do not know the HP Thin Client, if it is compatible to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Regards Georg Berghof
