I would like to know if it is possible to perform "absolute encoder calibration" via parameter (Profibus bit) instead of using the button directly on the Starter (Technology > Basic positioner > Homing).

yes this is possible.

p2507 is the parameter to set if you want to start an absolute encoder adjustment (p2507 = 2). 

In p2599 you can set the reference coordinate before. And afterwards don't forget to copy Ram to Rom to save the encoder offset value retentively.

ok, so then you have to write the parameters manually in that order acyclically to drive:

1. p2599 (reference coordinate - just if it is variable, otherwise you can set it once and leave it)

2. p2507 = 2 (changes to 3 automatically after finished encoder adjustment)

3. p971 = 1 (Save Ram to Rom on drive)
