Ty13r Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello. My friends asked me to help them solve problem with Sinumerik. Most likely initialy the problem was with discharched battery, because mmc was loading but there was no connection with NC, PLC. But before I started, someone tried to restore settings and I don;t know what exactly did he do, because now we have much more problems. MMC didn't load with error "File MMC.INI has wrong format in section 'Colors' ,entry 'Current'". I didn't find information how to solve this problem, so I decided to try it myself. In directory C:\user\ I found MMC.ini. There was next parameters: Current=Vga User=408000,404040,80FF,C0C0C0,FFFFFF,FFFF,0,0,400000,0,80FF,C0C0C0,FF8080,4000FF,FFFF00,FF00FF,202020,400000,0,0,404000 So I changed "Current=User", because user's colors were defined. Hope this information will be helpful for someone. And now we have a lot of errors, and MMC doesn't load. ERROR: Please define "NCServerName" in section [GLOBAL] in "C:\MMC2\mmc.ini" WARNING: Application 'langtool' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... WARNING: Application 'param' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... WARNING: Application 'dino' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... WARNING: Application 'dpdh' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... WARNING: Application 'dg' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... WARNING: Application 'machine' didn't post InitComplete ! Press <enter> and continue ... I opened C:\MMC2\mmc.ini, there are only two lines [BTSS-Settings] $MM_DISPLAY_TYPE=2 And there is no GHO file on disk D:\. I found only arc files on C:\ So, the question is: What should I do next? PS: I have some files from the manufacturer of this waterjet - 3Com programm - don't know what is it (Netzwerktreiber) - "SINDNC" programm - *.ARJ archive with s7 files - "USER" folder - "USER.AKT" folder

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 4579 Rating: (416)	Unless you have more than one same MMC103, you can copy--paste MMC.ini It is Very hard to help you. as you said the machine is waterjet (manufacturer of this waterjet)--so I think there will be lots of OEM menus --that means MMC103 is NOT Siemens standard. the best way is to contact OEM to get MMC103 back (in ***.gho )

Ty13r Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello. There are only dummy файл in OEM folder which contain "dummy" string. =( But I'm very diligent and doing my best to solve this problem. So I've made some success. I got MMC.ini from some other machine and manually corrected it. For now I have a mistake with second language. ""addon" Configuration Error! Entries for 2. language not complete Please check mmc.ini". I think I will fix it later. And now I have two important questions. (with error 120201) 1. Please help me to understand what should I see when I press "BUS NODES" button. (Start-up -> MMC -> Operator pane) When I disconnected MCP and HHU I saw there only two addresses ("1" and "2") is it correct. Or there must be third address? 2. I reset PLC and NCU. Now i can see three lights on panel. 5V, PR (green solid) and SF (red solid). Is it enough for connection to MMC? PS I tried contact OEM once more, But they didn't replied(( PPS There is one more thing. MMC connected via MPI to 810D (CCU2)

Now I need to see pictures 1st --picture of MMC103 display with error , with text !!!! 2nd CCU front display picture with the power If you read my tip on the top of this forum --you will get help quickly. I will not visit the forum every day, so you make yourself delay for help. maybe some other members will help you PS: please read tips on the top Recently , we have many users post question about 120202 "waiting for a connection the NC/PLC" --actually it is an easy answered question. But for us to help you fast, Please post your NCU front picture with power on With LED's display when you have 120202 Alarm. as it is possible NCU defective or system lost parameters dur to lowbattery. Your picture will help me give your correct answer right the way.

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 4579 Rating: (416)	Your CCU is good, SF red led ON due to you cleaned NCK. you should get communication from MMC103 to CCU, check MPI cable , if cable is good and you know PASSWORD (standard "SUNRISE") you can go to the “Start-up --set password, then --- MMC or HMI---Operating panel” menu. set 187.5 kBaud--- load standrad parameter--or manually MMC=1, NCK=3,PLC=2 any change in MMC setting, you must reboot MMC to make it activate Ty13r Sorry, didn't read tips. Ty13r Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	I was prepared for the fact that it would not work out so easily. NC still offline. And I can't see its address in "active bus nodes". 1. I checked MPI cable, terminators and connection settings. (there was 1, 2 and 6 addresses, see attachment). 2. Then I disconnected MCP and dissembled the cable. I left only two connectors (1 and 2 addresses in active bus nodes). 3. Then I took a smaller piece of cable with two connectors and tried connection with it. (again 1 and 2 addresses) 1st QUESTION. Maybe there is a problem with one of the contacts on the circuit board (I hope I found correct translation). The problem could be caused by careless transporting the machine over a long distance. Or there can be other malfunctions when only one connector used for two units? PS sorry for photo quality, I have only one, and the machine is pretty far from meю 2nd QUESTION. PPS Please check some parameters from mmc.ini. Maybe there are mistakes. C:/MMC2/MMC.ini NcddeMachineName=NCU840D (Can it be a problem with name?) ............... "0d" on the end, "01", "03") 3rd QUESTION. PPPS I'm really sorry for so much information and questions. It's half past one in the morning and I'm still analysing information. nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 4579 Rating: (416)	I think you have 2 machines and 2 MMC103's , I suggest you make cross-over test--switching MMC103 and cables to find --if hardware all good or find out the problem. then go to check software issue. Attention --if the 2 machines all use CCU, or one of them use NCU (840D), then you need to pay attention for MPI port connecting positions.
