We are going to change an old MM440 to sinamics. It's a induction motor 3600rpm and 0.3kw.

Its working on v/f control but maybe we change to vector control controlled by PLC and profibus.

what's the cu its better?

These devices are:

CU250S-2DP, (250) regenerative, (S) encoder feedback, (DP) Profibus.

CU240B-DP, (B) this is discontinued.

CU240E-DP, (E) standard drive similar to the MM440, (DP) Profibus.

Also as an example: CU240E-2 DP F, (-2) latest version, (DP) Profibus, (F) failsafe options to SIL2 cat 3.

The motor is a two pole device 3000rpm synchronous, recommend oversizing the power module to 0.55kW for operating in field weakening. I am making an assumption here that the nameplate shows 3000rpm?

The CU240E-2 DP, will offer control similar to the MM440, with SLVC, that is Sensorless Vector Control, and profibus, if Profibus is not required look at CU240E-2.
