I would like to re-use my LOGO! that I bought about 6 years ago. I bought at the time the starter kit 6ED1057-3BA11-0AA8 6ED1057-3BA11-0AA8 (LOGO/HMI/Power supply/...). At the time, I got a CD with the LOGO! Soft Comfort Version 8.0.

Now naturally, current Comfort version is 8.3. My PC has Windows 10 OS and not anymore 7 and I don't have any CD drive anymore ...

From what I understood, you cannot find in a legit way the version 8.0 to download because basically this is not free - only updates/upgrades are (maybe).

So how can I install Comfort 8.3 easily ? By just using the content of my Comfort 8.0 CD copied on an external hard drive and then running it, updating/upgrading it later through the "Update Center" functionality ? In this case, that would mean that there is no problem with running Comfort 8.0 on Windows 10.

I hope this question was not asked anywhere. I did some research but was not sucessful...

Edit 1: it seems that V8.0 is not supported by Windows 10, only from 8.1 from what I did read in one post...

Edit: I was able to install Comfort V8.3, as explained by ixo65, on 03/21/2021 ! All fine then :) !
