We tried the same thing. we consider cpu 300 & et 200s with single Serial interface card defined as master.

trying to fetch data by triggering request of send block, en_r of receive block at same time.

but there is no error,done,status in send block..

Are you using Simatic Manager (Step 7 v5.x) or TIA Portal Professional (Step 7 v1x) on this project?
