atupaz Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I am getting Alarm 1481: + Software Limit Switch for the Z axis in the +ve direction when I reach absolute position 145.In the Alarm List in the support documents, the remedy says to check MD 224, 228, 232, 236.I checked this andthe values are significantly bigger than 145. Why is the software limit switch being triggerd? Any ideas?

atupaz Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	ok i will make MD2241 = 99999999 the control unit wassent to siemens for repair due to memory problems and upon return all NC and PLC files werereloaded. i still dont unerstand why i would get a software switch limit alarm if the value in MD2241 is larger than the actual position

At next is better you say that before. Do you have read in "SE-Data" ? These are Setting-Datas. Activity limitation, Spindelspeed limitation. Can you try test the Spindelwith "M3 S1000" Go in Display Setting an check the inputs. Ask the user-mann, if Position-Diplay (Position) is O.K. I think you have many other problems Tell me the "header-line" that Datas you have read in. As example "TEA1" . . . (You can read this with an Note-Pad-Editor) Please check the machine, whether additional error / malpractice are there. (User-mann) Check Setting-Data (Urgend the Datas must be SD3000 not MD3000) SD300* SD304* SD401* SD403* Check for Display-Position . . . SD5000 for Cycles SD5001 bit 0 --> Display-Position Please give me all the tested points on a response.

Please make the Old Value in the limit. Make it higher and test the "New Software Limit". If the Position from Software-Limit is O.K. then you can Work with the Machine. Make it as "Example" 1000 greater --> Whats way (Software-Linit)is greater ? That would interest me.
