1. Can anyone link to an SCL manual that's got every SCL function in it? I have found 'Programming Guideline for S7-1200/1500' but it has some but not all, Some LAD functions you can enter as SCL but I can't be sure of the syntax as the help only has examples in LAD. Various forum posts have snippets here and there

2. If I have string I want to empty I would do Mystring :=''; Can I do something similar for a WSTRING?

3. I'm trying to concat a newline on the end of the string, I made a new WString called NewlineChar with the default value WSTRING#'$R', reckon this is right? I couldn't get the syntax correct to do this directly in the brackets, any tips would be appreciated

What I want to do: I have a function block with a load of bool inputs which is a list of interlocks. When one of these is on I want to add this to a list to eventually make a handy list on the HMI for me to know at a glance why the system isn't working.

I'm using GetSymbolName as a first step which should fetch the name of that tag, its output is WSTRING, then I CONCAT_WSTRING that with the newline, with a bit of luck ill be able to display a list of tags that are on. I'm getting the building blocks together at the minute, but if I could get this right I can automatically generate the code in excel to work with the 100+ inputs.

So a little page will say, oh it won't turn on? That's because x, y, and z aren't healthy B-), next machine has a different list, doesn't matter still works. I'm trying to avoid a huge page of animation that would need heavily modified next time.

Thanks MOP that's very helpful. Took me a few tries to use, I think I was missing the general idea of how the arguments of a function are done in SCL, bit of an SCL beginner.
