Hi Experts,

I am trying to Upload a project from CPU 1214C / TP1500 Comfort HMI but I couldn't! and also I don't know which version of TIA is used (the firm did the job not exist anymore)!.

CPU is 6ES7214-1AG40-0XB0 Version 4.2.1.

I tried to go online with TIA 14, then I tried to go online with TIA 13 and upload it but I received this message with TIA 13:

The hardware configuration was created & Downloaded with an Incompatible Version of Step 7?

I tried to make a new Hardware configuration by TIA 13 but the latest Version for PLC was V4.1 and I couldn't download the right Catalog Version (Siemens web site didn't let me to download and upgrade it to correct version).

TIA 14 didn't have that version at all (at least on my laptop).

Any suggestion for uploading the project?

Perhaps the following link might help:

What options are available in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) for uploading when the project version in the CPU no longer matches the version on your PG/PC?

(Try the following:   In TIA Portal go to 'Online Access' -> Ethernet card of PC -> update accessible devices.   When the CPU is found, go to Online and Diagnostics, perhaps you can find which TIA Portal version was used to program the CPU)

I mentioned it before, Online is V4.2.1 and I don't have that version on my laptop and siemens won't let me to download it.

If the firmware is v4.2 you will need TIA Portal v14.

Do you have TIA Portal v14?

What is not allowed to download?

I think you didn't read my first notes about my problem very well Or I missed somthing!

This is what I need (online CPU is this): Hardware Catalog update for CPU 1214C Version 4.2.1

Attachment is what I need and when I try to download it, I received something like this then I tried to go to registration page and did it (below is the message I get at the moment) but I had similar problem in the past as well...

By TIA 14, I don't see PLC or HMI

By TIA 13, I can see but no Upload option.

By the way, when I tried TIA 14 I received a message that project done by V. 13

I guess you have not installed WinCC Comfort v14. (Because you have not TP1500 Comfort panel)

I have different VM for different versions and the one I use more is version 14 in this factory.
