331-7KF02-0AB0 or 7KF01.which one is better for Pt100 thermal probes?

q-man Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	hello! i have a sm 331-7KF02-0AB0 and also 7KF01 analog input cards. i was wondering - wich one is better for Pt100 thermal probes? if i've understood the manual correctly, there is a possibility to conect Pt100 thermal probe directly to input card but i never did it for real. if i go to hardware configuration, under object properties/inputs of the 7KF02, there is an option to set to resistor, thermal linear (pt100). any advice how to wire this probes to this card? thanks in advance!

Pioneer Posts: 51 Rating: (4)	I think no diffrence is there, just 7KF02 module supports I/O redundancy. you can use 4 sensor per module, so you will have 4 channels: in case of 2-wire RTD: 2,3(CH1) 6,7(CH2) 12,13(CH3) 16,17(CH4) in case of 3-wire RTD: (2,4),3 (CH1) (6,8),7(CH2) (12,14),13(CH3) (16,18),17(CH4) NOTE: 2,4 and 6,8 , ... must be connected to the same side of RTD. The difference would be in the accurcy. But I think the second choice would be cheeper. Thus because the two modules are 8-Channels, but when it goes to PT-100 measurement, the module "7KF02" can measure up to 4 channels only as mentioned in the attached wiring schematic. Here's attached the wiring diagram of both modules. Do not forget to set the measuring range in the HW config to PT-100 measurement.
