Automation Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I have a device with order number 7MF4433-1BA02-1BC7 is it possible to adjust current output to be 4-20 mA corresponding to differential pressure value and at the same time the value on device LCD corresponding to flow value? And if that is possible, which configuration should I change to achieve that if not possible,can i use another sitrans to do this fuction or it can't be done at all.

(pg 117 DS3 manual, pdf) However, if the square root function (mode 11) is enabled, and the DP transmitter is sensing DP across a primary flow element (orifice plate, pitot tube, wedge) of known characteristics, then the square root of the DP represents a flow rate, scaled according to the design of the primary flow element. Page 115 (pdf) of the DS3 manual states that, if the input pressure is selected for display in mode 13 and mode 11 is set to the square root characteristic, then the differential pressure corresponding to the flow and the root sign are displayed. The current output would follow the square root function. So the DP transmitter displays the DP, and informs you that the current output is a square root function. One way to deal with viewing flow rate units is to put a (loop powered) panel meter in series with the 4-20mA output, and scale the panel meter to whatever the flow rate is over the 4-20mA range.

DavieS Posts: 64 Rating: (2)	I do not believe this is a correct answer. The 7MF4433 (or 4434) differential transmitter can have the local display set up for flow units. This is configurable both with the local push buttons and PDM. As well, the transmitter can be pre-configured by the factory to indicate flow on the LCD, this is the Y22 ordering option.
