Sinamics S120 - Connection to PG&PC

conter Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm newer in Sinamics world. I need to startup some Sinamics S120 and their CU320DP. I'm reading the starting guide with Starter software dated 11/2009, Siemens doc. 6SL3097-4AG00-0CP0. From the guide the connection of the drive with the PG/PC Station is done by CP5511 card. I have only a PC Adapter MPI/DP. Now the question is : Can I connect the PC/PG with the PC Adapter ? Thanks for yor help !! Roberto Conte

Tech189 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hey, I tried using this Adapter on the Sinamics S120.It works fine if the network is configured @ 1.5Mbps or below but above that it takes too much time to load the program and get online and .I would recommend using the PG with MPI cable or the PCMCI adapter for communication.
