And here is my question, is it enough to do the "Object Replace" in the hardware configuration like that in theattachmentor there are other considerations that should be taken into account? miami Platinum Expert Joined: 8/31/2005 Last visit: 12/16/2025 Posts: 2198 Rating: (331)	The new CPU is spare part compatible to the old on (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/41764240) This means, the new CPU will realise the program isfor a older version and will work like this older version. If you want to use the new features of the new CPU, you must change it in HW Config and make a new download.

SudhirS Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi Tommy, For this you go into Hardware and Right click on CPU and select option replace object.It will work.Don;'t try to delete and add new otherwise whole program would be erased. After Replacement of the CPU just compile hardware in Hardware Configuration or in Netpro so that System Data will be created. And download new data to CPU. If you have already Higher version CPU and if you want to replace it by old one then you have to change the CPU which would delete all program. Betterway Create New project with required Hardware(CPU etc..)and Copy all Blocks and Symbol Table from old Project to required New Project. You can alsoCreate Source files in Old one project and copy those to New one Project.

snoop13014 Posts: 199 Rating: (25)	Hi, That depend on the program too. For Exemple if your programe use clock memory, or OBs like OB10 (Time-Of-Day-Interrupt), or OB 30 (Cyclic interrupt)... You have to set the new CPU such as the old CPU,with the same properties. Good Luck
