S7-200 Programming cable

Handry Theron Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I have started using the siemens PLCs yesterday. I am use to the LS and AB PLC, but needto know the siemens ones better. I have got a S7-200 and want to program it, can i make up a cable myself or do i need to buy one from Siemens. Is it using Port 1 on the DB9 connector to program or the other small one on top? Thank you

PC/PPI cable (6ES7 901-3CB30-0XA0) in case of serial port on PC. 2. USB/PPI cable (6ES7 901-3DB30-0XA0) in case without serial.
