PROBLEMS WHILE IMPORT DNP/TCP OR MODBUS TCP in SICAM PAS

Tosh_3645 Advanced Member Joined: 9/20/2011 Last visit: 11/1/2024 Posts: 46 Rating: (0)	Dear Mr.Mike, We have SEL 734 meter in our SAS,the meter not having 61850 facilty but this meter having MODBUS/DNP facility.,we tested this meter and its locally communicating through modbus tcp/dnp(from my laptop simulated with Modbus master),We have Modbus/DNP licence in our SICAM pas,but we don't know how to import this into sicam pas, I tried to add a device and its asking imort file,but we don't have any files from the meter(.DigDNP file),could you guide here, how to proceed?

The import function you see in Sicam PAS for DNP and Modbus is to import a file created based on the Sicam PAS templates. As you don't have experience, I recommend you go to Templates in UI Configuration and configure the device directly there, not with the files. If you have Modbus or DNP knowledge, you will easily identify the information address in Templates. Then you use this template to insert a device in PAS. Mike
