Connection from PC to MASTERDRIVE MC

I have installed the Siemens Drive Monitor software on a PC and would like to connect to the drive. The cable listed in the other posts I have produced /tf/WW/en/Posts/17310#top When I scan for the drive nothing is found? I have checked the PC Com port (Which is COM1) and matched the settings in the Siemens software to suit. I am using 9600 baud the standard speed on COM1 port. Is there anything in the drive that needs to be done to allow access? I have gone as for are possible really on my own and need a few pointers. Thanks in advance.

DaveA Experienced Member Joined: 8/8/2008 Last visit: 12/5/2024 Posts: 78 Rating: (4)	I have found the baud rate parameter been my issue. Parameter P701 Here is the answer if anyone else has similar issue: P701 = Baud Rate(not P700) 6=9600, 7=19200, 8=38400 etc Hope this helps!

The values below are factory defaults, however, they are often changed by end users. P53 = 111 (technically, you only need 0x4 in hex, but 111 is easier to write and remember) P702 = 127 P703 = 2 Regards, Graeme

But when I try find drives trough the drivemonitor, cant find anything ( also I tried create ¨new offline project an than connect to drive but nothing happens only it "says" "No connection with device". )

Have you set ONLINE settings correctly? (after setting this you need to close & reopen DRIVEMONITER. HTH
