skwr Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	HI @ll -> this is my first time here;) I found problem simulating F_CH_AI using Simatic Manager V5.5 + HF5 and PLCSIM V5.4 + SP4. I am an absolute beginner in PCS7 an I found similar issue and solution here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll/7778907?func=ll&objId=28263042&objAction=csView&nodeid0=14931084&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&load=treecontent ,for simple CH_AI it works for me but for F-channels simply not. Any ideas? I am trying to simulate 1oo2 and 2oo3 evaluation of AI and DI, but simply simulation does not work! Please help! Attachment 11.JPG (636 Downloads)

yy1 Posts: 535 Rating: (112)	Dear skwr, the VALUE-input of the F_CH_AI must be connected to a tag (eg. IW256). When you compile the program with the option 'generate module drivers', the F_CH_AI will be connected to the module-driver F_PS_12. Afterwards you will be able to modify the input in PLCSIM. For more details have a look at the manual, chapter 'F-I/O access'. manual For each F-Channel driver, interconnect the VALUE or I_OUT_D input/output with the symbolic name of the associated channel. This step is required for all placed F-Channel drivers. For redundant F-I/O, interconnect the VALUE input/output with the symbolic name of the channel with the smaller channel address. skwr Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thank You, I will check it. So, there is no possibility to simulate CFC f.eg. F_CH_AI without connection to Tags? I thought that it is possible even without any ET-200 and I/O configured in hardware conf. - but never check it.

skwr Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	OK, now it's a little bit better - parameter VALUE is correct, but on the output from F_CH_AI (V) still i have 0.0. I want to simulate situation when there are to different signals comming from F_CH_AI to F_AND4. As i said some kind of 1oo2 evaluation. Any ideas? Attachment 12.JPG (610 Downloads)

Looks like Safety Programming is much more complicated than standard one...especially for beginners...any ideas yy1?? What about cycle-time? I configured parameter "F-Monitoring time" as default 2500ms as I remember. Should be the "Diagnostic interrupt" also configured? Maybe some parameters in F-CPU must be configured? Excepting Tab "Protection" ofc. What about Tab "F Parameters" are there any important parameters in simple simulation not complicated project?? Attachment 14.JPG (550 Downloads)

It looks, as if there is any inconsistency in your program, which leads to the area length error and as a result of this to the safety data format failure. Which blocks are the DB 87, 88 and 93? Are these the instance-DBs of the F_CH_AI block? You can try to delete these blocks and recompile your program. Best regards, yy1

skwr Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	OK, seems i found source of this problem. I am using S7 416F-2 CPU in HW Config and have installed S7 F Configuration Pack and SIMATIC F Systems Pack (+ HMI + Library). Probably i should have S7 Distributed Safety Pack installed also??? Is it possible to RUN CFC F Program sequence without S7 Distributed Safety? Could You please provide some example with F_CH_DI or F_CH_AI??
