samiraj Experienced Member Joined: 10/13/2012 Last visit: 2/10/2025 Posts: 79 Rating: (0)	hi all experts , how to enter windows desktop mode...? on PCU50.3, while sinumerik booting time press 3 / # not getting to enter desktop mode ,if i press # / 3 continuous machine not getting hang , We have 4 machine , except 1m/c ,all machine can enter but only one machine couln't go, suppose if i go dos shell "EXPLORER" there i cant copy any file from USB by using keybord (ctrl+c) (ctrl+v) like that , advice me please thanks advance regrads samiraj

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello, No need to press the key 3 continously....when you find base software version that is exactly on the right hand side ( V08.06.00.03) then press the no 3 on the operator panel. Desktop screen opens Enter the user name and password. It should get inside with out a problem. Regards, Prakash

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello, What is the base software version(08.00.06.03) you have in the machine?may be your having this07.xx.xx.xx. may be this is with NT /XP if the base software version 07.xx.xx.xx. you need get inside the windows like this... 1) When your booting the machine you will find Sinumerik on the left handside (Small) you need press down arrow key in the operator panel..you will find a service menu screen in this select option no 4 for the windows...after pressing this press 1 you will find the windows. Check it out.... Regards, Prakash

The problem is that I cannot access to the Windows mode by clicking 3 or F3. if I try to enter in the hidden menu below Sinumerik (Backup and restore mode), I cannot access because a message apperars: Virus alert¡¡ and the system reboots again. Any suggestion to enter in Windows mode? Thanks

0_0 Posts: 1879 Rating: (174)	On newer versions (win 7) you can press 3 on hmi shutdown to get into windows desktop. Sometimes really handy if machine is not in service mode.
