Erik Kowalczyk Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	Hi, I am trying to install the S7 Distributed Safety Prog. V5.4 SP5 Software on my Field PG running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Step 7 V5.5 SP3. What i can understand reading the readme file it should be compatible but when trying to install i get the messege " The wizzard was interrupted before S7 Distributed Safety Programmimg could be completly installed..... ,please run setup again." Does anybody have a idé what the problem might be? Thanks in advance // Erik

This is not due an incompatibility to the OS, but somehow an error occurs which interupts the setup. So you should check the setup logfiles and windows eventlogs whether you can detect an error listed and find a conclusion to the root cause, so you are able to fix it yourself - or call the Technical support so they can help you installing the product.

"Product: SIMATIC S7 Distributed Safety Prog. -- Installation operation failed." I am working the night shift this week so it is a little problematic to get help from the support.

TomDeWou Platinum Member Joined: 11/15/2006 Last visit: 3/26/2025 Posts: 1319 Rating: (176)	The logfile should be located in the Windows Folder (C:\Windows, C:\WinNT\ ) or just start searching for files starting with S7 and creation date of the installation. As far as I remember it is starts with S7F, so you should be looking for files called S7F*

Cicero Platinum Member Joined: 10/10/2005 Last visit: 1/29/2025 Posts: 1940 Rating: (138)	Hello, regarding to the compatibility list you need with STEP 7 V5.5+SP3 under Windows 7 (64 Bit) the S7-Distributed Safety V5.4+SP5+Upd1. I think Upd1 is missing and you should use the intallation CD where is Upd1 is included. With best regards Cicero
