Thank You for Your fast reply. And what do You think about CLICK ?. It has voltage output that i think standard SM will process. |

Sorry, but I can't see where is the output voltage that is standard to the SM. Note that digital modules accept fomr 18 to 30 VDC for "1" and less than 5 VDC for "0" (I'm not pretty sure, but these numbers are near) Analog modules accept voltage range from -10 to 10 VDC and from 0 to 20 mA

Hello pmichal; The analog outputs you point to will give a signal ranging from 0.1 to 4.9 V, if you supply the probe at 5 VDC. The current generated will then be in the range of 100 microamps. In my experience with Siemens PLCs I do not know of an analog input card that will be able to read such values (normally if you can choose a voltage inputs the closest range you could read would be 1-5 VDC). For technical data on analog input modules for the S7-300 family, as an example, please look over chapter 6 of the following manual: SIMATIC S7-300 S7-300 Module data I strongly suggest you think about a signal condtionner between the analog output of your sensor and the anlaog inputs of the PLC. You should look at products from Phoenix Contacts and Weidmuller to start with (there are other manufacturers on the web for such products). Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
