Hi,

I am modifying code form an already running plant to add three more PLC - S7200S. The existing configuration consists of 18 PLCs, 2 Redundant Servers and 2 Clients as shown in the attachment. The softwares used are Step 7 V5.5 and Wincc V7.0 SP1.

I am editing the program (archive form the plant) in my computer named "COMP". I added 3 more PLCs, Configured graphics and added the Tags in the S7 Named Connections dialog of the WinCC Configuration Explorer.

Now am trying to test the code; I connected the COMP to real PLC and started simulating Values and i am able to see them in the Step7 DBs but they are not coming in the Runtime WIndow when i open the OS Server (OSSPRIMARY) and run it.

1. If need to see the values in the runtime window what should i do?

2. I know that there is something with the Computer Naming, Symbolic Computer Naming and Target Computer Naming which needs to be changed but i am not so sure of that.

3. There are many manuals for the WinCC learning on the Siemens Site and to get it right from beginning which is the good manual.

Thanks for the kind reply.

The ET200S is connected to my computer COMP via Ethernet. Actually i modifed the tag connections exactly the way you told me but could not resolve it. I have attached the screen shots for your reference.

I think this problem has to do something with the naming of computers and servers.
