MP370 will not boot after OS update

Ries Member Joined: 6/1/2006 Last visit: 10/29/2025 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have made an OS update to a MP370, to get it to the latest WinCC flexibel version (2005 sp1 hf7) After the update (with the right file) the panel will not boot. The bootloader starts, but then nothing and the screen stays blank. What to do now ?? Can I do a new OS update from a flashcard, and how do i do that? Can I reset the panel to the original OS? I have done this several times before with other panels also MP370's. Then there were no problems. Can Iconnect tothe panel in an other way? Regards, Ries.

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	Hi Ries. You will have to repeat the OS update. The problem you will face is how to get the panel to enter Transfer mode. You solve this by setting the "booting" selection in ProSave, and then start OS Update. ProSave will then "listen" for the panel when it boots up and then "order" it to enter Transfer mode. So, connect the Prosave PC to the panel via serial, enable "booting", start the OS Update, and then cycle power on the panel. If everything goes well the OS update transfer will start.
