majklkl Experienced Member Joined: 7/17/2012 Last visit: 8/22/2025 Posts: 44 Rating: (3)	Hi everybody, I have project with S7-1200 in TIA portal V11 SP2 U4. I want to simulate panel KTP600. When I had the panel, everything was working well. But now, I cant use it, so I must simulate. I choose simulation with tag, add tags to table and mark 'start'. Tag on simulated panel don't look like this: "#####", but they have default values, and nothing is updating. Changing tags in panel doesn't change tags in plc, alarm buffer seems to be clean. Did I forget something?

majklkl Experienced Member Joined: 7/17/2012 Last visit: 8/22/2025 Posts: 44 Rating: (3)	Okey, so in normal mode of Simulation I see info in alarm buffer: "Connection disconnected: HMI_connection Station 192.168.0.1 (PLC address), Rack 0, Slot 1". And of course my tags looks like ####. I don't have any other evice with this IP address in my local network. PLC is connected with my PC, HMI device in my project has different IP as my PC.

vipz Gold Member Joined: 9/2/2012 Last visit: 9/25/2025 Posts: 712 Rating: (30)	Dear majklkl, 1.If plc-hmi is communicating when they connected means, there is no problem in settings. 2.But if your pc is acting as hmi, your pg-pc settings should be accordingly. 3.Normaly in tia portal, pg-pc setting will not play much for downloading, but communication with simulator means, you have to set proper pg-pc.(tcp ip with your pc's lan driver)
