Hi experts,

I really need your help.

I have a main controller (416-3DP) which has been programmed with PCS7. Also there is two 315-2DP in two different projects supplied by another vendor to controller their packages.

Now I have to make connection between these two 315-2DP with 416-3DP via CP342-5!!

Which configuration should be set and which function should be used on both sides??

Pleas pay attention to these to important things:

-Connection via CP342-5 not DP/DP coupler or DP port on CPU

-CPUs are in different projects

Please let me know if u have any suggestion

Good stuff! I thought you need to set up S7-communication to an S7-300! Anyways good that you solved it.

What did you do? Did you set up the S7-300 as DP slave? Please share your findings!

Hi,

First of all I inserted a S300 station in the S400 project.Then I used the GSD file under S7-300 CP342-5 and inserted it on the profibus network of S400 and set the same address for it as it's address in the real project.Then I used input and output modules for it.
