DANFOSS drive replaced by Yaskawa drive

eng_semsem Posts: 144 Rating: (1)	Dear Expert I have system worked by S7-400 with DANFOSS drives connected by Profibus network and one of them are deviated and can't fined this on local market so I replaced it by Yaskawa drive . What must I has to do to complete the process successfully?, where i have a little experience about ProfiBus and not have original program just upload the program from CPU . Regards Osama

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/3/2026 Posts: 12479 Rating: (2722)	Hello semsem; You give very little information on the 3rd-party drives you are replacing in your project: what model Danfoss drive did you control, what model Yaskawa are you using to replace it. And what Profibus interface does each one use? Since these are not Siemens drives, there will be less information available on the Profibus exchanges for them on this site. Next, I suggest you go to the Danfoss and Yaskawa sites, and collect as much information on the Profibus controls that each company implements on their drives. I doubt that they are compatible and immediately replaceable, so study these documents carefully as that information will be useful when you do your conversion. Finlly, create a FB for your new Yaskawa drive, based on collected information, test it with the new driveand add it to the existing program you uploaded. when you are satisfied of the FB's ability to control your drive properly, remove the functionnality for the old Danfoss drive from the original program. eng_semsem Posts: 144 Rating: (1)	Dear Daniel Chartier good day thanks for your information and kindly the below information about the system 1- PLC S7-400 2DP 2- Drive Danfoss VLT (devected one) . 3- Drive Yaskawa A1000 with SI-P3 profibus-DP card 4- I have the GDS File for both of them but I can't found the address (PIQ&POQ) on program to replace it . regards
