Dear Experts,

I am using step 7 v5.5 +Sp4 software and I am trying to communicate with profinet  CPU 315 2-PN. and I can able to communicate with CPU (uploading/Downloading) and it is working well.

My problem is that I can't able to assign the device name and IP address for profinet devices because the edit Ethernet node was not detecting the online devices ( But  with my colleague laptop was working good)

so I search the support site and I did the some checking like

1.Disabling windows firewall
2.Anti virus disable.
3.reinstalling the software.
4.PST tool software installation.
5.formatted the laptop and again software installation.

But no use , without solving this issue I cant able to site please help me to solve this issue.

you can try to reinitialize you interfaces like described in the FAQ - in my case it did a good job!

How do you generally parameterize the PG/PC interface and how do you ensure that the device driver can be selected and is visible?

are you connected directly to the CPU?

Searching for accessible nodes is a MAC-Adress-Broadcast. Some antivirus-programms are blocking it with a function called like "Network-Protect" or similar. Try to disable this function or the whole anti-virus-scan. Maybe an other device in your network is blocking that function(switch, router).

Maybe Windows services are not started. Have a look in the Windows-services and check if the SIMATIC S7DOS-help-service is started.

You can try to reinitial your interfaces. The FAQ Towome provided may help

You can also try to install the SIMATIC Automation Tool. Whit this Tool you will also install PC-Identifier-SW, that repairs the programming interfaces:

I checked the device driver is visible in "C:\ProgramData\Siemens\Automation\Simatic OAM\data\LogDevices".

But still not working

thanks a lot it was working in pro neta but why its not working in step7- edit Ethernet node,PST tool, simatic automation tool..........

whether this is permanent solution or temporary one
