I am trying to build a faceplate using a structure tag such that I only need to create the faceplate one time. When the faceplate is opened, the structure tag it uses should be loaded. (sort of like multiplexing) I do not know the Siemens terms for this, so here is a Rockwell Software comparison.

In Rockwell Software FactoryTalk View, this is called a tag placeholder. For example, a display is created for displaying temperature values of heaters on four different furnaces. On the display, the IO field for the analog value is created with a tag reference ( #1.heater_temperature). On the "overview" display, there are four buttons, labeled "Furnace 1, Furnace 2, etc.) When a button is clicked, the macro to display the temperature value executes, (Display "Temperature" /T Furnace1)

So now when the display opens, the placeholder (#1) is set to "Furnace1", so the IO field displays the value for the tag "Furnace1.heater_temperature"

In Siemens, I have a structure built, and some tags in the database of the type structure. I created a faceplace and set the links to the structure. I can put the faceplate on a screen and indicate the Sturcture tag for it and it works. I could now put individual faceplates and set the dynamic interface for each analog tag, but I would rather make just one and select the tag dynamicly at run time.

Is this possible in WinCC?
