Then archive backup is used for only restore it again in CNC.

It not editable but you can load that archive PLC backup into CNC and take upload software listed below.

1. If 840d then simatic manager (add-on 840d package)

2. If 828,802 and 808 then PLC programming tool.

Hi Raman, 

It was a pleasure to learn new things from you. As you said archive backup that I have is not editable but is there any other way to read and edit the ladder diagram of the sinamics drive other than viewing it on the HMI screen of the machine. I want to see the program on my laptop for a full understanding of the machine. If possible send me some links, docs that will help me to learn how to program CNC, VMC through ladder logic.

Setup>

PLC>

And monitor program block

Edit key in vertical keys.

But insure your machine safety

thanks for replying to my query. I have seen the ladder program on SINUMERIK 828D HMI but the size of the program was quite long and production was also going on in the factory. hence I took a backup of the program to new all networks used in ladder on my laptop. isn't there any way to view the ladder program especially on a windows laptop?

Version 3.3 and above

Need to upload from machine LAN ports front.

Thank you for your support. Do you have some sort of documentation regarding PLC programming tool v3.3 especially for drives as I am unable to find it on the siemens website and on the internet It will be really helpful if you could provide me some links about this.

As per my knowledge the HMI or ppu is sufficient for modify above both.

And search S7 200 system manual in forum. It similar for integrated s7-200

I want to get the ladder program from this siemens drive and modify cycle stop logic. I'm unable to open the machine backup. As this unit is a combined power supply, PLC, NC unit. I haven't worked on this.
