Precondition: A project has been loaded with the Eclipse IDE to a non-temporary directory.

Open a valid Putty connection and login as root.

Change to the directory /etc/init.d

cd /etc/init.d

Create a new shell-script:

nano <NameOfScript.sh>

Type in:

#! /bin/bash

#<Path where the project is stored> for example:

/home/ProjectFolder/<NameOfProject>

exit 0

Press Ctrl+X to save the file

Press Y to confirm

Press Enter

Now you have to change the rights of this script:

chmod +x <NameOfScript.sh>

At last this script has to be added to the autostart:

update-rc.d <NameOfScript.sh> defaults

After a reboot the programm runs automatically at startup.

If you want to have more than one project running at startup, add the appropriate paths to the <NameOfScript.sh> script.

the ProjectFolder is just an example. It is created on the IOT2000 using putty with the command mkdir /home/root/ProjectFolder.

In the Run Configurations dialog of Eclipse you have to do the following settings: 

• Tab Main: Image: /home/root/ProjectFolder/<NameOfYourBinary> (just an example path)
• Tab File Transfer: Add

• Host: Select your binary in <YourEclipseWorkspace>/<NameOfYourProject>/IOT2000Release/<NameOfYourBinary>
• Target: /home/root/ProjectFolder (example path, without NameOfYourBinary

You can run as many scripts as you like, doesn't matter if its a shell or python script.

Here is an example of two scripts I placed in /etc/init.d/ 

You have to add & behind your python script in the autostart file. 

For example: 

#! /bin/sh

python3 /home/pythonscript.py &

exit 0

 That should solve you problem.
