It is worth while watching as introduction.

The movie is not helpful to the question.
It is an old movie, before the S7-1200 could be simulated. 

Pulse and direction on the S7-1200 cannot be simulated.
Hardwire encoders can also not be simulated on the S7-1200.

Simulation on PLCSim not supported by Motion

If you want to simulate the drive and encoder, this could be done at Analog- and ProfiDrive axes. Just select the "Simulate Drive encoder" on the configuration Basic Parameters\General\Simulation.

After download to the S7-1200 PLC you will be able to simulate the movement of the drive without an encoder and drive.

 Thank you. I don't want to simulate with PTO anyway. I want to simulate with profinet, the driver. I'm glad it's possible. I'll try what you say.
