You can use the "online access" from a project tree to view the available devices connected to your PG/PC (Portal computer).

In the past, I have been able to use those blocks to look at logic.  The links already posted are better than my answer, but you may be able to use a combination of this less than great answer with the already great answers.

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to Siemens but have some experience working with V5.5 and Simatic Manager.

I've been called to an issue today where I need to monitor a machine.

It utilises an ET200s as the main PLC control. I am using TIA V14.

I have compared the project file with the online version and they do not match. I am waiting for the manufacturer to send an up to date project file over. (This isn't my project so all documentation etc. weren't collected)

I have tried to monitor the system to see if I can see what is causing the fault, but the glasses are greyed out. I am assuming this is because the projects do not match.

Is there any way I can force monitor to get the machine running?
