Hi, im student from Malaysia that learning how to used the PLC siemens S7-300...but the problem is that we been teach how to used the DI and DO only in that subject..now im in my final year and we need to used that AI and AO to do the closed loop for the process using S-7 because we didn't used any controller...we used the block FB41 (i think) as the controller for the process...other than that our group have to do the cascade control for our process because our process is to simple....we used the Resistor Temperature Device (RTD - Pt.100) for master control and Pressure Transmitter as a slave control to control the motorized valve from supplying the wet stean into the product tank...i also been inform that we need to do the tuning for PID inside the DB block that we used... So the conclusion from our problem is that we need an example for cascade control for pressure and temperature controller that can control the opening of the motorized valve...here is the achived file of the program that we have been done so far...we really hope that someone can corrected our mistake and help us solve our problem... *ps: set point for temperature = 80˚C set point for pressure = 1 bar (trigger the relay to on the motorized valve)

Hello again, A project developed by me to illustrate how to implement a cascade controller by FB41.The main controller is a temperature controller and the secondary controller is flow.If you want to use "Motorized Operating Valves"as actuator, I recommend you read sections "1.4.2" and 3.1 of the following official reference of SIEMENS: Controlling with SIMATIC Best regards, Hamid Hosseini |

Hello, The mentioned Control Literature published by SIEMENS is not free of charge and should be purchased. Please, check the official website for more information on English(2005) and German version (2011). 1-Controlling with SIMATIC (978-3-89578-255-8) 2-Regeln mit SIMATIC (978-3-89578-340-1) You can ask local SIEMENS representative to purchase a copy or contact Local John Wiley for more information.
