SIMODRIVE 611D backup with Simocom

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello Experts, We have equipped with 840D with Simodrive 611D drive system. 840D NCU 572.4, 400MHz, 64 MB. LT module 2x50A MLFB no 6SN1123-1AB00-0CA3 with control card 6SN1118-0DM33-0AA0 & LT module 1x80A MLFB no 6SN1123-1AA00-0DA1 with control card 6SN1118-0DM31-0AA1. If this Simodrive's back up is to be taken or how do these drives are commissioned with Simocom software? I have gone thru the manuals wherein it states that with X471, RS232 or RS485 connectivity can be established where by these drives can be commissioned & back up can be uploaded. But I don't find X471 connector on these 611D control module. Can anyone help me?

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello Deep, This is not commissioned with SIMOCOM U sotware....it is done with HMI software. You will not find the X471 connector only on 611U not in 611D.... Does your machine is equipped with PCU20 / PCU50? If it isPCU20 you need have your Laptop with HMI advanced PC/PG for commissioing the Drives. If it is PCU50 you can commission the Drives in the Screen itself.HMI sotware will be present in it. Regards, Ekalavya

And if with PCU50 how to proceed with HMI on it & take the back up?
