Hello df...; You have a OP or MP x70 or x77, and there is an SD card in its slot. If there is a program backup on the SD card (if it has been placed there by a programmer) then you can use it to restore to a similar panel.You cannot open or modify this program (a backup), since it is a compiled version of the application, but you could restore it on the new OP/MP panel. To know what you have on your SD, use Windows Explorer to open it (it should have been formatted to FAT 32, so your computer should open it without problem, and copy the contents on your PC. If you tell us what extension the files have from the SD, we can tell you if this a backup file. Have a look at one of the many discussions you can find on the forum about MP277 panels with a SD file backup. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello guys, Thanks for the support! We RECEIVE yesterday the new 6av6 643 device but as you know, it is empty(not programmed) . We have to program it with the old one which contains a memory card that we have. The old one is not working at all, it is completely out of service BUT we have the memory card running i think the old program from it. NOW we want to transfer the program from the memory card to the NEW 6av6 643. If i understand, i just have to put the memory card in the new device and follow the instruction described in this link to restore the program in new device? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/28928853 Or does the old program is inside the mother board of the old device?
