Let me explain in simple way. , if you want to display tag value of DB1.DBW0 then the HMI shall have facility to create and link this DB tag to HMI objects. . If HMI dindn't hasve connection driver, then it is not possible to use this HMI directly with Siemens. .

This is the Siemens support forum. If you want to know whether the S7-1200 supports profinet HMI devices using the S7 protocol, the s7-1200 manuals say yes. If you want to know if some thirty part device supports s7-protocol and profinet, you need to find that manufacturer's support forums or applications engineering services.

peterplavec Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	We successfully used Proface HMI for S7-1200 in the past but as previous posts says it depends on the manufacturer of the HMI whenever he supports or doesnt Siemens PLC's.

KINCO seems to be a Chinese system and though I am sure we have Chinese members I think they are in fewer numbers. You need to contact KINCO and ask if they have a driver for the Siemens S7-1200 range, I looked on their website but they don't seem to provide a driver list.

LionAL99 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	hi my friend you can use PANELMASTER HMI,it has PROFINET port and directly communicate with S7-1200. it also has other function,such as recipe,i use this HMI for many project(but not via PROFINET) and don't find any problem.
