PLC S7-400 Power supply problem

sgmmen Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear Sirs, Many thanks for your support. There is a problem with PLC S7-400 Power supply at STS4steel production line as below, 1. Power supply battery status check : battery OK 2. Power supply off and on again 3. Program is gone(disappeared) automatically on CPU 4. Products information 1) Power supply : 6ES7407-0RA02-0AA0 2) CPU : 6ES7417-4HL04-0AB0 (S7-400, V4.0) Our customer want to know why CPU program automatically is gone when cut off the power supply. My understanding, we can upgrade power supply to prevent this kind of happenning. Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Rack that provides connection among modules.You can check it on similar machine or system. CPU itself.In practice, I encountered cases that CPU doesn't respond actually as the manual explained.You can check if it is problematic by changing it with a new one. This test procedure may need a shop for detailed checks but if it is crucial , try it. I hope it helps, hdhosseini
