autostart Python3 script

Seattle Dan Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm working on a IoT project using Python and AWS IoT SDKs. All works except I can't get the project to autostart. I managed to get autologin working by changing etc/inittab with S1:2345:respawn:/bin/login -f root ttyS1 </dev/ttyS1 >/dev/ttyS1 2>&1" Now I can't get python running automatically after the silent login. There is no rc.local. When I create one it does not run. I'm simply looking to run this: python3 VSH.py Assistance appreciated!

The script should look like #! /bin/sh python3 /<path>/VSH.py exit 0 where <path> is the storage path of your script (e.g /media/pythonscripts). I got it working with an easy blink script. Turns out what was killing me was the the auto-logon changes I had made compounded by Sublime3 editor defaulting to window Line Endings for .sh files. Go figure. All working now. I much appreciate the support you provide on this forum!
