Protool Files in STEP7 project folder

Domino_M Posts: 63 Rating: (10)	Hi Experts, A project folder of a STEP7 project (PC-based automation) contains some .PDB files that can be opened with Protool. It looks like all the information used for programming the HMI's is still there. The STEP7 project is currently not connect to protool. Is it possible that these files are usable to make changes in the existing HMI's. Even though the PLC program itself has been changed over the years? I'm curious to hear you're thoughts on this..

The project file of the PLC contains several folders, inculding the TDOP folder, that is where I found the protool files which has: PRO_x.dbf PRO_x.fwd PRO_x.mdx PRO_x.PDB PRO_x.tfx PRO_x.tfy My experience with Protool is pretty poor. Are the files above enough to be a HMI project or is more needed? If so, what do I need to look for?

I had there only 2 files, .fud and .pdb what was enough for change OP prj with protool in my case. As Stefano already sugested, PDB file is prj file.
