I was trying to get a memory bit to be 1 for a cycle every 500 (or 1000) miliseconds. I have examined some other projects and realized that people do this by 2 methods,

1) Implementing a toggling bit in OB35 (Interrupt Block). Like a bit which is 1 for 250ms and 0 for 250ms. Then reading the positive edge of that bit somewhere else to get a cycle of 1 every 500 miliseconds.

2) Using a memory word as clock memory and reading the positive edge of a toggling bit with a period of 500ms.

I will base some main features of my program on some bits implemented with one onf the methods above.

This is my question:
As far as I know, every CPU31x include the clock memory feature, can I create my template relying on this? I mean I don't think using interrupt blocks is needed, can I rely on the accuracy of the positive edge retrieved form a oscilating clockmemory bit?

Im kinda confused because I see people using interrupt cycles for this instead of using the memory clock.

Future projects using these cycles will not be with hard deadline, so it is ok. Thank you for the heads up about OB3X blocks, i will be using the memory clock for the future projects (I suppose every CPU have those so I can use my templates on other CPUs, correct me if i am wrong).
