Most Activewith Best Answer Category - Members who are Most active and their most answers(XX)% are rated well. 2. Best Answer Category. - Members whose answers(XX)% are rated well. 3. Most Active user Category.- Memebers who were most active but (XX)% of their answers were not Ok. I know it might be very difficult to maintain the forum with these demands, but you would always need the new members who initially will post bad answers but later on with their interest may acquire expertise.(At least some of them) If you have all three categories, I am sure most of the users interest will be taken care of.

ritu RNF(Antares):lblSharedPostList_Posts 22 RNF(Antares):lblSharedPostList_Rating (18)	Hi Lalit/IBN, As of now the campaign which is going on, good for all and better for most active members, however I think all members who are very knowledgeable should also think that they have been working on siemens products for the years and there are always people on this forum or on any forum who will post like they never saw siemens products before (which indeed might be correct), though its the moderator responsibility to cover up the interest of its active users and new members. So in that sense it might be a better idea to segregate three or more types of premium campaign awards. However I think in that case the number of moderaorts will required to be increased as in that case quality will be checked in quantity.

I think if the forum members will increase then for maintaining the quality of the forum number of moderators will also be increased, I am sure there might be some experts which may eventually take additional responsibility of being Moderator. I don't know weather it will be possible, but it may be one of the solution.

Hi Arun, I think Siemens Forum must have a way to find out if the user is logged in and reading the posts, if not, I am glad that you brought up this point, because most of my time goes into reading the posts only.

Hello All Members, I completely agree with this point as raised, I think it is far better to read the post on the forum and search the FAQ section then just posting unnecessary questions. I think Forum activity should be tracked in the way weather or not user is actually searching for his question before posting, so that people the repeat post will be less and the serach will become simpler. Users who are multiple posting without searching the FAQ should not be given premium points. Thanks

Premium campaign perverts the whole idea of forum. You can see users who has 10-20 total posts get to 170-200 post in the premium campaign time and believe me there is no quality in these posts. In other forums we use term "flooding". When premium campgaign is active some members just flood forums by not helping to improve quality of posts. This is technical forum for one users to get another which less experience. Anyway it was not intended to flood. So I agree that point calculation must be changed. Now we have very good time for flooding. We write as much messages as we can and we get high rank. This must be changed. I'm not speaking about all users, but only about some. Look at the ranking list and you will see. There are users such as Wizard, Pegaya, Sydney, dcartier, IBN and many many others which are on much lower places than others (I don't speak about IBN ). I just wanted to say that real experts answer to issues where they really can help to solve it. Only that they are not flooding so they get lower possition. This is not important for most of us, but anyway its a campaign and real exprets must be honoured. So that's my thoughts. Don't take it personal.

The "Stars" are not a good idea until there is a regulation for the rating system. Example: Anyone who ask a question must rate the answer. Nobody else is allowed to rate the answer.

I think if you run a campaign run only for one week then there will be people who will not even sleep and keep flooding the forum. I think this campaign time period should be like one year or more than that so that no one will first try to start racing by flooding the unnecessary post. And Siemens would calculate how actively the user participated during whole year not just the few days before the Campaign is getting over. I don't know if it would be possible or not but they should run the campaign for atleast one year and then may continue for 5 years so that who are really good at helping people can get the benefits. For your information how hard I tried I am not even getting the 100th position, even though I spend lot of time in reading the forum and learning from it. But anyhow as of now I am not very concerned about it, but I hope after the next two days when flooding will get over I will get the quality posts on this forum. Thanks

I don't think you're wrong. I can also write here at least 20 users which are real proffesionals and their posts are allways helpful. Also I can write here some flooding users who "build" rank on flooding. Maybe its not very good to write their names here because people can be angry. But I think everyone knows what I'm talking about. Just look to top 20, except experts and look at these people membership info and you'll see.

This is not game. This is campaign to honor experts. This is not a place for flooding. The most forum members are engineers, programmers, plant managers and there is no place to play. There must be serious people who share their experience and help less experience users. General conferences might be the place for discussion and "light" flooding, but not product conferences.

I already commented in another topic about this campainthat for some topics you received 3 similar answers, but written with other words. Or answers to post from years ago!?! I also suggested that this kind of campain should be blind. At the end of one month they would just inform that the previous 30 days have been monitored and what is the ranking.
