Hi Salma. My problems are compounded by the fact that I'm not trying to debug one script. The animated objects areeach controlled by a script independently. The scriptsare very similar(in hind-sight, it would have been better to call a function to do the number-crunching). I've been working through one of the screens, and by a number of methods managed to get the initial update of the screen down to 15-20 seconds, but there is still a 7-10 second delay during which nothing seems to happen. I can try to post a copy of the screen here, if it helps. AttachmentMix-Tank.zip (452 Downloads) |

Can you try the GetTagWait suggestion and see if it makes a difference? |

I've gone through the screen I posted, replacing almost all of the script with the dynamic dialog connections. The update for that screen is less than two seconds, compared to the original 2 minutes. It's been a head-scratching day or two, but the result is worth it. I'm posting the new version so anyone who still has the last one can compare. Thanks for the help [:D] AttachmentMix-Tank2.zip (373 Downloads) |

OK. Quick explanation - the Recipe screen has provision for up to 40 Recipes Each Recipe can have up to 16 steps, each with 13 variables (most are operator-inputs). When the screen is first shown, whenever the Re-Load button is pressed, or whenever a Recipe is selected (by clicking on the Recipe Name field just above the table), a script calculates the name of the tags required, and loads the values.
