There are other path to transfer the data into the controller, for example by creating a soft key to a network drive from where you can copy the needed files and paste it to the MPF or SPF folders. I had had a bad experience in which the controller was infected with viruses. Nit

Our machine uses PCU20 so I think as you said I can't use it's Ethernet with no additional cost for network manager am I right? I'm thinking for using serial port (as a lower cost option). Now my question is how can I transfer files via serial port? Can I use the COM port in the back of PCU20? does it need special cable or a simple "PC serial communication cable" is sufficient? and which software is required in PC side? thanks in advance A.
