Hii, I need to control the navigation light via NMEA 0183 protocol. It is employed as an asynchronous serial interface with the following parameters, Baud rate 4800 stop bit : 1 parity : none Data bit : 8 I'm using s7 1500 plc and a cm ptp module to read the nmea sentences. One USB to RS 485 converter is taken to give the simulator readings from my PC to CM-PtP module. With the help of one NMEA simulator I provide NMEA sentences to my S7 1500 plc and now its showing an error code 16#81E2. This is a character frame error and I'm not receiving any signal. I checked all the serial parameters in plc , simulator and in the device configurations too. And also I tried swapping the serial communication cables. All were same to same. Please tell me what is the real issue with this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hey, thewre is an example where they use an GPS receiver with NMEA protocol together with a SIMATIC S7: May that works and support you to solve your problem Regards |
