The number of messages is stored in the variable Alarm_Count and can now be further processed for a message indicator (If Alarm_Count != 0 -> Do things).

The basis for the alarm count is the command GetActiveAlarms.

whole thing is located in the task planner and is called every 100ms.

This could create a high background load because it reads all active alarms 10 times a second. When there is no alarm active this might not be a problem but when 1000 alarms are active this might run you into trouble.

That way only changes need to be processed which causes much less system load.
