4G mPCIe cards is only a USB client to the system. The problem with the IOT2000 is that there is no embedded way to handle the SIM card. The best option is to buy one of these:

and then use a normal USB 4G stick in the "Basement" of the device if you strip it for the plastic caseing. Alternativly you could try to fit one of these since they handle the SIM problem:

 Hi, can you share some impressions how the solution works? Do you have to control the modem with #AT commands or are there complete drivers lets say like you call a certain function from a C program and it says "connect to HSDPA with options?

Would be really helpful to get a step by step instruction.

We use a product by Telit, called deviceWISE for the Siemens IOT. It has PLC connectors and extensions to manage the cellular connection. You can find info into help.devicewise.com

At this time, Telit does not offer LTE mPCIe with a SIM card holder. If you need LTE with the SIM card holder ... it can be done but Telit would need to have some forecasting on how many parts --. You can use the 3G version with SIM card with no issues.

What is your application? How much data do you need to send ?
