[snip] And also, I cannot update my PLC through the Web server, its giving me 400 BAD REQUEST, I have tried a couple of commands they all worked it seemed like the update section is no good. I have downloaded FWUPDATE.S7S - 6ES7 214-1AG40-0XB0 V04.04.00 for my model and when i upload on site it says its good to go, than i get CPU stop popup message, than don't leave site and than it fails with return message 400 bad Request. Is there some catch here or what? Thanks alot! - G ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

FWUPDATE.S7S is not an update file. It is signal file used by a PLC to let it know there is an update job to process. You need the actual binary file.

Are you saying the PLC is sending a little alert box that says it cannot update the PLC firmware without stopping the running PLC logic? Do you say, OK, go ahead and stop the PLC? If you want to avoid the pop up message, stop the PLC (logic) before attempting to update the firmware.

I finally updated my device. I stopped the CPU manually right after I uploaded the file. For some reason the file wouldn't want to upload last time. I click Run Update - Choose file - Click on OK to stop CPU - Click OK not to leave page and than the webpage return a 400 BAD REQUEST. But this time it started uploading, I could see it in the bottom left corner and than when I got Network change screen I knew it updated I Just clicked RUN CPU again and now its running fine. Thanks Einstein! |
